The Aion team has announced that all free character transfers are suspended until further notice. The team indicated that it the server balance issues need to be re-evaluated before restarting the character transfer service. Once restarted, the team will place certain restrictions on transfers to help maintain server balance.
Following the recent Aion server merges, NCSOFT wanted to offer a free character transfer service to give everyone a chance to play with friends located on different servers. One of our responsibilities is to provide balanced servers for you to play on. To work towards a more enjoyable play experience they’ve decided to suspend character transfers in order to re-evaluate our strategy for server balance. Once they’ve finalized our new strategy, they will again re-enable free server transfers, however with certain limitations to prevent an excessive amount of transfers that specifically contributed to server imbalance.
Ncsoft have highlighted some key features you need to be aware of to ensure that a character transfer runs smoothly. Please check the criteria before you use the character transfer process. Your transfer process will fail if you do not meet the eligibility requirements.
1.The character you wish to transfer must be level 2 or higher.
2.After you transfer a character, you cannot transfer the same character again until 1 full day has elapsed.
3.You cannot transfer a character to a server that already houses a character of the opposing race.
4.You cannot transfer a character that is a member of a Legion. You must leave the Legion before you initiate the transfer process.
5.Items in your account warehouse will not be transferred. You will need to move them into your character inventory or warehouse before initiating the transfer process.
6.You must remove all items from the Auction House broker before you will be able to initiate a character transfer.
7.You cannot transfer a character that has more than 5,000,000 Abyss points.
8.You cannot transfer a character that has more than 200,000,000 Kinah.
9.There are specific flux-morphing recipes that cannot be transferred.
